Got the newtonian, I couldn't resist, I'll hang onto it for a few months, then upgrade to a different model, woah...heavy! Working perfect, trying to get the hang of the opposite view, going to align it either tonight or tomorrow with polaris, it's going to take a while to get used to it, do...

Hey, no, that wasn't me, the sis is from Oola though, she didn't know about the club until recently too. I didn't know about the stargazing in the Burren until someone mentioned it to me, that was only a few weeks ago, I went on line then trying to find out everything about it, that's when I found t...

Taking pics of stars, sky keeps turning out orange.

I've used different iso/ss/aperture etc...I've been outside for the last 2 hours trying to get my head around it, nothing in the manual about it, using tripod, any tips please? I managed to get...

Is the Newtonian worth the money? What should I be able to see through it? My sis has a Bushnell Northstar, I'm not sure of the specs but it picked up Jupiter and its moons, I'll never forget that, that was about 2 months ago & it was one of the most amazing things I saw in my life, beautiful.

Thanks guys, yup, I'm at that point where every spare second I have, I'm either flying to the window to peek up at the sky and see whats around. Hi everyone!

I've always had an interest in astronomy, but lately it's turning into an obsession, I'm an amateur, of course, loving the planets & constellations. I have a sister who lives out in Oola, & when I went out there one even...
