Well, what happens is you screw tghe focal reducer directly onto the back of the scope using the scts threads that are there, the t-ring then goes on that. There are 2 types of focal reducers, a F6.3 and F3.3. The F3.3 is for narrow field ccd imaging so the one you want is the F6.3, like this one.. ...

Well Lads, Frank and I finally got down to the west coast of Clare last night for a near all nighter (I had today off, poor Frank didn't, I don't know how he went to work today !! :shock: ) While there the seeing was excellent for Saturn, so out came the laptop and the webcam and we got this image. ...

Conn, An infocus star should look like a point. Is that first one of a plane, it looks like its got blinking lights. If focusing the camera by eye and you wear glasses, then you must use the glasses while focusing, why not bring in the camera to the meeting tomorrow and we can show you what we know,...

Looks like the image is slightly out of focus, seems like the camera is focused on the side of the house and not an infinity.

Well, Despite the very high full moon we had a good night up on the hill, attended by myself and Frank. We took images of the Moon and Mars, the moonglow was too bright to look at much else. It was absolutely freezing up there and when the wind blew it felt like -5. The GOTO system on the 20" obsess...
