Hey Peter, If you want to look for a galaxy, you can always try M51, keep in mind that with a 4 inch refractor, all you'll see is a small fuzzy blob. The challenge isn't to eek out hubble space telescope views of these objects, the challenge is to find them and evaluate what you can see of them. Und...

Thanks John, The astro gear is here to stay, so's the tv, I'll be selling the furniture first :) gosh so many names, celeste, cassy, selene, , could be a boy yet, thats a much tougher one tbh.... how about castor,,,, haha, dont think so, he'd get a rough time at school with that one between the ghos...

Now there is an interesting idea, hadnt thought of that, or how about Buzz, since he is still alive. or how about Alcor, sounds like something out of he-man :), would you mess with anyone called Alcor ? lol the only real one I can think if is Andy, after Andromeda, then again Andromeda was a woman, ...

@Conn, very many thank for your generous offer of the of the castors. The base of the 12" is supported by 3 pads, so i'm guessing we would have to use 3 castors as well....... and contribute nicely to its steampunk look as well steampunk, I love it, haha, we need more brass though. ;) Seriously thou...

Lads, I saw how the 10 and 12" scopes were been used last week at the public observing nights and I have to say I was chuffed at how well they performed. :P I cant get over how sharp the views were through the 12" now that its optics were aligned using the new collimator, I'd now put it as been bett...
