Hi all, , That was perfect timing, collimation and clear weather, we spent some time collimating the scope using my own 2" kendrick collimator, scope is now working very well at low and high magnifications. Roy, thats a fine scope you got there, it'll serve you well for many years to come. The colli...

Triple conjunction, finally got a chance to see it

Hi All, The weather gods played ball last night and I managed to sight the Mercury/Venus/Jupiter conjunction. They were easily seen in binoculars, but to the naked eye, only Venus was readily visible. Mercury and Jupiter were not definitely visible. http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5464/8879395856_0e25...

Hey Roy,
So any more idea on a time for this, the weather is looking good for testing the collimation of this. Given the current planetary conjunction, I thought you'd be eager to get this done.

taking a step back

Hi All,
Since things are settled and I've a baby on the way in 4-5 weeks, I need more time to get on with what I need to do,
I'll be taking a step back in the club in general, so dont be too surprised if you dont see me at meetings.

The weather is looking good from Wednesday onwards, so that would a good time to do it and actually get a chance to test it, prove the optics are ok aswell.
All the same, I fully trust the laser, works every time on my own scope, so it should be grand.

Hey,
Have you managed to move the scope yet, looks like this evening would be a good time to collimate it.
