Hi guys, As some of you know, we made up a plan for the solar filter for the 12 inch dob. We got the solar film and I'm nearly finished putting the filter assembly together, I'm in the process of painting it to get it to match the rest of the scope. Guys, I've had a good look at a close up map of this eclipse path, and guess what !!, the nearest part of Ireland to the eclipse track is not the giants cuaseway, malin head or west Donegal, its Belmullet in north west Co. A very good day indeed, we had a great turn out from SAC at it, it's great to see the enthusiasm on the up.
