Thanks Gerry.
I've been trying to think of something a little different to talk on.
After a long ponder I'd like to suggest:
"Stars & Stones" - From Newgrange to Giza, an exploration of some of the worlds most intriguing ancient astronomical sites.
Who built them? How & what was their purpose?

Found myself in the same position when we had our first baby so it's not surprising at all. Best of luck to ye both! :) Funnily enough, Although I was co-opted back in recently, It's apparent that commitment to the committee is a sizeable time sink. Unfortunately, I will not have the time to stay on...

Not quite sue if the date is correct here. He says he was finishing up. Maybe it's the same one. Not sure From terry moseleys email: 12: Bright Fireball over Belfast, 23 May: I had just finished observing the moon last night and put my scope away. However as I was still looking out and checking clou...

No but it was amazingly bright.
Didn't hear or see anything about it today. Oh well. Nice to see all the same.

Hi Peter. Short answer is city lights are your enemy. They will wreck any view bar the Moon & the planets. A 4" refractor from a dark site will show more but in terms of detail you need to go bigger to see 'brighter'. Scopes are as good as thier light gathering power more so than magnification. If y...

Hmmm. This will need to be reviewed. It will allow anybody to add the tag and have the image appear in the feed, member or not.

Easy to change back if it doesn't work.
Fair play.
And thanks Conn for the castors!
