A grand shot there Conn.
Your processing skills are evident.
It's a fine size too. Was that with a barlow?

(Corrected the name of the post also :D  )

wow thats some difference.
Conn,
to beat the startrailing,
you could try taking a series of shorter shots
(say 5, 40sec ones) at a higher ISO
then stacking them.

Thats an impressive start!
Yeah the tracking is a little off but the dumbel shape is all there.
Way to go Conn.
It's always nice to see a result like that of your own doing.

If I get any shot (Hoping to get another timelapse one over the Dolmen)

I'd have to agree there. I sometimes find it hard to get 'infinity' right also! I seem to always have to focus on the brightest stellar object at the time then zoom in on the camera to see is it ok... then tweak as needed...a time consuming but necessary task. Also Conn, at 30 sec I alway seem to pi...

Yup.
Nice one.
How long an exposure was that, what ISO did you use and what was the
F stop setting... The details mean a lot....to me anyway,,,,,

It's defiantly worth the trip John. The talks look fast and furious and the audience with Sir Patrick Moore is worth the whole trip. You can see a report I wrote here when Dave and I went over last year... Word of warning though... Go over on the Thursday and get up fresh on the Friday. We went over...
