I'm having a work send off dinner at the Hamptons on Friday night (beside the Marriot).If I don't make it over before you pack up could someone collect the items? I presume you will be there until at least 11pm- weather permitting

I have a 5mW green laser pointer ans a set of computer speakers (as used in the BSP) to donate to the SAC. I'll bring them around on Friday night if the weather is good.

A good red light are the energiser head torches that can be picked up in Dunnes, Atlantic homecare, 4home etc.. and a few other places. They are about €15 and have a red LED as well as two bright white lights for setting up gera etc.... Go for the model with the sliding switch and not the rubber pus...

Nice shot Frank. I have an old 80mm Orion short tube you should try on the astrotrak. It willl give you a wider field of view and a longer exposure time will be possible. Its also shorter and thus easier to balance for better tracking. You need about an hour worth of subs even on a bright object lik...

Mars is surprising well placed even from Brisbane. I only have my 15x70s with me though. You can make out gemini and orion is overhead. I only have a northern aspect from our apartment though.
