I have a 5mW green laser pointer ans a set of computer speakers (as used in the BSP) to donate to the SAC. I'll bring them around on Friday night if the weather is good.

A good red light are the energiser head torches that can be picked up in Dunnes, Atlantic homecare, 4home etc.. and a few other places. Nice shot Frank. I have an old 80mm Orion short tube you should try on the astrotrak. It willl give you a wider field of view and a longer exposure time will be possible. Its also shorter and thus easier to balance for better tracking. You need about an hour worth of subs even on a bright object lik...

Mars is surprising well placed even from Brisbane. I only have my 15x70s with me though. You can make out gemini and orion is overhead. I only have a northern aspect from our apartment though.
