Okay Guys.. Just had a look on Accuweather and tomorrow the 13th is looking good as far as their concerned. It has it down as clear from 6pm onwards but we all know that we take that with a pinch of salt.. But at least its promising.. So lets hope for some clear skies and that PAN STARRS plays ball....

Weather is not looking good for Wednesday evening but I did manage to catch a look at PANSTARRS today at about 7pm from Shannon RFC grounds, albeit a brief and fleeting look before the skies 1 and only cloud decided to cover it... It was pretty bright but not much in the way of a tail but definitely...

If it's about the lighting on
the N18 I can't see how it
would be worse than tescos..
As for observing it has a nice flat
Western horizon..

As I said earlier I don't mind which
site we use so long as we have clear skies
and a clear view, after all thats what it's all about.

Cheers Roy :-) :-)

Yah I'm with you Dave
Roof gets my vote, Damn health and safety.. Lol
All joking aside the place is ideal
but I'm open for any of the 2..
The only reason I need to know
which place we will be doing this
is because I need to arrange the keys..

Cheers Roy :-) :-)

Okay Guys.. Can we stop concentrating on the roof for a moment it was only a suggestion and nothing more, as for the site itself, it has good solid ground with which to set up our scope it also has a nice flat horizon looking all direction.. So lets just forget that I ever mentioned the roof.. It is...

Guys your rights.. The roof is a bit of a risk But it was only a suggestion.. As for the Rugby grounds it has a wide open carpark.. I will put the exact coordinates up later as I'm not quite sure how to do it on my phone.. https://maps.google.ie/maps?saddr=Coonagh+Roundabout&daddr=Unknown+road&hl=en...

If ye don't mind I'll put myself forward for sending out the club txt.. That's only of the committee members agree.. As for Facebook, there's no problem with updating it Dave as you are still a Mod.. So as Dave suggested, I would like to put Shannon RFC forward as a possible site at which to observe...

We could put
"meeting at tescos
carpark and then heading to
Shannon RFC club house in Coonagh"

On the club txt also you could leave my number on the club
txt for those later arrivals and I could meet them at
tescos and head back over...

I was thinking we could still
meet up at tescos carpark and
then head over to Shannon RFC
as it is literally across the road from tescos..

UPDATE I just got off the phone with Tomas Healy(Chairman of Field & Development) and he said we could use the roof on the club house if we wanted.. It looks directly West and has a clear view all around it, it's where the cameras set up on match days so it has a great vantage point. Cheers Roy :D :D
