We were lucky to be given a nice display of noctilucent clouds tonight, on my way back home from a friends house tonight I saw a nice NLC display to the far north, the best I've seen in a while, I had the Canon handy so I took a few pics.
I used the standard lens the camera comes with, iso400 and 5 second exposures.
They were taken between 00.22 and 00.28, the display was visibly fading as I took these, I think I cought the tail end of a bigger display.
There were some nice wave like NLCs, they stood out nicely against the orange northern sunset glow.

The yellow flare is from a nearby light.
This is more indicitive of the size of the display, the visual view of it was dimmer then this image shows, hopefully we'll get more of these later on in the week.
