Jeepers Frank I read the last line of your post 'taken with GRAS020 in New Mexico' and in my ignorance (I did not know what GRAS020 was )I thought you had lifted it, so to speak, in order to show the asteroid's changing position as it crossed M31.
But, having read your post on the IFAS site I now realise that you had anticipated, planned, executed and processed the images yourself and and lacking the right equipment ,not to mention the Irish weather, you rented time on this telescope.
Great thinking and very well done. Just wondering how far ahead you needed to book the time slot and would you mind saying what cost is involved?
