supernova SN2012aw, in M95

Post by Dave Lillis » Wed Mar 28, 2012 11:33 pm

While getting some shots of the planetary+Moon conjunction, I got a shot of the newly discovered supernova in M95.
The supernova was at mag 13.3 at the time of the pic, the host galaxy is also quiet faint. This is a 67 second exposure at iso1600 through the 12"LX200 with a canon 300d camera, operating at F10, using a IDAS2 filter.
Used a darframe to remove noise, scope was tracking but unguided.
