Well all,
Great shot there Frank.
Frank and I tried out the cliffs of Moher first, he had some scenic shots in mind, but with clouds there we left and headed to our usual place next to the Dolman in the Burren.
We got there just tin time to see Venus go behind the mood, very cool!!
I set up my 4" F5 celestron refractor + canon 300D and got the below shots.
As it happens, this is the same setup I use for solar eclipses. These are uncropped images,
Venus on the limb at 17.06
Jupiter to the far lower right
This first one is left a little dim so that Venus stands out
Time=17.13
Time=17.40
enjoy.

Carrying around my 20" obsession is going to kill me, but what a way to go.
