Bahtinov mask

Got a bahtinov mask recently for the LX 200. When I bought it I expected that it would fit very precisely inside the outer rim of the tube. This mask was greater in diameter than the front lens and had 2 holes drilled in it (see image).
I tried it out the other night by using a couple of rawl plugs in the holes and hung it on the front of the scope after centering it. Moving it slightly did not seem to make any difference to the view through the eyepiece. Does anybody know if it has to be an absolutely perfect fit?
I took a 10 sec image of Sirius while using the mask and here is the result. Is that what a near perfect focus should look like?http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4023/435 ... e8.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2798/435 ... 9d9aa9.jpg

I dont know if it has to be absolutely perfectly centered, I made up one from laminated sheets of hard paper.
The image of Sirius looks perfect to me.
Looking at the mask I'm wondering is it for an RCX400 and not an LX200 ??
It would be worth emailing the manufacturer and asking them how its supposed to be used.
