How to focus

Hey Guy's

Can anybody help me out, I need to know how to focus on infinity but cant figure out how to do it as there is no infinity symbol on my lens. So if any1 can help me it would be much appreciated.

Hey Roy.
I'll assume your using a Canon EF
type lens.
With these and the like there is no
infinity focus mark on the barrel.
The end stop position is just slightly
past infinity so as to allow for motor travel
in the autofocuser.
Best thing to do is zoom in on
a bright star and focus it manually as best
yiu cam. then zoom in on the screen to see.
adjust as you need to.
the likes of the 450D have a live view function
which is v handy for focusing.
you can also download ware off the net
to hook yiur cam up to a laptop and do it that way. is

I done what you said and Just got my 1st Pic's of Jupiter using a tripod and 18-55mm lens. I took a few at 1/4 second exposure at f5.6. See what you think of em....... http://www.flickr.com/photos/55109139@N ... otostream/
