Hello All

Post by Colum Flanagan » Fri Dec 21, 2012 2:50 pm

Hello to all
Colum here living in Nenagh always had an interest in Astronomy and it is only now I have decided to pursue it. I have been gifted a bresser skylux nl yes the one that is in Lidl I know this is not much of a scope with such a small aperture and the mount is a bit wobbly. I am not working at the moment so it will be a while before I can upgrade. I have seen this on done deal http://www.donedeal.ie/for-sale/hobbies/4324274 but the advertiser is saying the mirror needs re-coating can anyone tell me roughly what I would expect to pay to get that redone.
Cheers Guys

Hi and welcome to the site,
If you want to recoat the mirror, have a look at the following link on our website, towards the bottom is a list of mirror recoaters
http://www.shannonsideastronomyclub.com ... _shops.htm
For a good cheap price to recoat the mirror, have a look at
http://www.galvoptics.co.uk/
You'd be looking at 100-200 to recoat the mirror I'd guess.

TBH, I'm not sure I'd go for that scope, it is alot of scope for the price but there is better out there.
