Guys,
I was looking around for a mount for the binos the club has, and found these,

Its such a specialised piece of gear, but hey, I'll throw one up on the ifas site and see what we get.

no, but really we need to move on this in the next week or so if we want this for the start of April.

yea, he is like McGyver, but in ABS form

Didn't we already approve getting a parallelogram mount at a committee last year?
It would definitely be nice to have for the public observing

Dave, that last link you gave to the english site are only selling the mount without the tripod, seems expensive because of that.

Its a bit expensive but is a complete system, and I like it.

right lads, got a big problem,
The guys tell me in telescope services that their mount cannot handle the weight of the binoculars. Same for the orion mount !!
Also, the mount in peterson engineering is a no go aswell.
We're running out of cheaper options here.


I dont like the virgo mount as alot of the mount is below the binos, where your head would be if looking high up.

The unimount is a fine looking mount as it put the tripod and mount to the side of the binos, so basically you can get in under them.
I've sent an email to bigbinoculars.com to see what would the shipping cost would be. We're looking at 406e for the mount with some small extras with it.

what do ye think, can anyone find this mount in europe ??

yea, thats my thinking aswell, we can afford it, but its not the scenario we wanted.

gave him decent specs.
