I just picked up an Orion solar filter for my 8". It gives nice views with a light yellow sun which is easy on the eye. I went for the 8" as I knew if I got one for the 11" I would never take it outside. I can set up the 8" scope in 5 minutes for a quick look at the sun. If I had an observatory then I would get the larger one.
