It was certainly a super clear night last night, Roy and Daz called over.
Cought 4 planets, numerous clusters, galaxies and doubles.
It rained heavy just before midnight, had to close the dome, didnt last long though, was clear again in 15 mins.
Best view of Mars I've had in a few years. polar caps, dark and bright regions clearly seen in the binoviewer, Jupitr earlier on was super and Venus was its usual brilliant self.
I didn't get to sleeptill 3am,
ITs supposed to be clear again tonight, might get in abit of solar observing today.

and continuing on, I'm having a look a the Sun for the past hour or so, some nice minor sunspot activity going on there, also got in Venus aswell, the daytime sky takes away the glare and using the binoviewer gives it a 3d perspective, really makes it look like a partially illuminated globe, will try and get in Jupiter and Mercury when the high altitude cloud goes away :)

Havent got either of these 2 in daytime for a good few years so it would be nice to bag them .

That leaves Mercury left.

mercury was a bust, just too near the sun but hey, cant get them all,
then I noticed that the ISS was making a pass just before 7 this evening so I managed to track it in the LX200, solar panels and the white gleaming modules were very prominent. you could se it turning as it passed overhead,

Its one im definitely going to repeat again this week. !!
