Geminids - anybody got any plans?

Post by Frank Ryan » Thu Dec 13, 2012 12:13 am

The weather prospects unsurprisingly look like they are going to tease us;

From met Eireann,

Thursday evening/night: Another frosty evening over Ulster, north Connacht and down through the midlands and east with minima here of around zero but temperatures will rise quickly during the night as milder, cloudy, windy weather with outbreaks of rain extends countrywide from the southwest.

So I guess it'll be lovely and clear just as the meteors ramp up then
right on que the cloud,wind & rain arrive.
Still. Met.ie have been known to get it arseways & we could luck out.
We'll just have to keep an eye on the sat sites.

coats and a flask of soup..
If anyone else want to join
me feel free..

Cheers Roy :D :D

There is a band of weather passing over us now and it looks like it's
going to be over us for the duration of the night.
Coupled with high winds the Burren is out for me!
I was hoping that the front would loose power and not hit the coast till midnight giving us at least some clear skies around maximum.
It looks now like we can only hope to catch a clear piece of sky twoards dawn if the front keeps moving as it is.
Here's hoping.
