Hi,
Had a look at the Moon rising tonight, even though the full moon was dim at Moonrise, there was not anything unusual given atmospheric extinction, so the eclipse was pretty much non existent as expected.
Stayed out till 2pm and got great views of Jupiter/Saturn and the Moon using the binoviewers on the 12" SCT.
Also had a a look at M3 and a few other clusters, all swamped out by the full Moon, but nice to see though,
The moon was fairly impressive, the rays from the brightest craters was stark, you could still see the rims inside copernicus and good detail of other craters despite no shadows, the binoviewers really helped in that respect.
Schroters valley and the mountain peaks in the sea of rain, like white icebergs on a dark sea, was pretty cool.
Man was it cold, the thermometer in the dome read -3, frost and ice on the inside walls, looking forward to more clear nights
