Guys,
A numbe of us were out at LG this week for the Persieds, got some nice widefield sky shots, I havent processed these in any way, I havent removed any light pollution and are as is.
We stayed for about 4 hours, cought alot of meteors visualy, a good number fo really bright ones, 3 iridiums and the ISS.
I only managed to get one Persied in a pic, the rest are just star fields.
This one has a very faint meteor crossing around the center-right of the FOV, this is looking south of Pegasus, 30 second exposure ay iso1600

Towards Aquila, the clouds on the horison really cought some light glow, the amount shown in the pic is much worse then the what we saw visually.

Great stuff Dave.
I think I dropped the ball on not suggesting a "public" meteor watch event
But I was heading on holidays.
Murphys Law.
The pics don't show any LP to speak of for 30" @ ISO 1600
Even the one with the clouds.
Was that facing towards the sodium street lights by any chance?
If so following our push for refit to Full Cut Offs this should dramatically improve the situation.

Been midweek, I wasnt keen on proposing a club thing at LG for it, those who want to see it will make the effort, it was all over the media, and there a load of people there anyway,
AS for light pollution, when the clouds were around, they do catch it, but its a reasonable enough site,

Aye. It's no Burren or Kerry but not bad considering its proximity to limerick & smaller towns.
