See the Space Shutle & Tank after launch tonight!
Atlantis is poised for lift-off on a mission to the ISS tonight.

Check Nasa TV for the live countdown and launch.
Weather permitting, Atlantis and the jettisoned spent external fuel tank
should be visible 17 - 18 min passing over Ireland rising in the West.

Keep an eye out for the Leonid Meteor Shower tonight too!

I watched the launch on NASA TV. didn't manage to see the shuttle in the flesh though.

Stared at leo for about 10mins saw about 6 meteors, most were faint but one was brilliant with long coma and green tint.

according to starry night they should be around until the 19th.

Hands up, I messed up the prediction of the pass.
On the other hand,
the meteor shower was on par.
I observed for around and hour and saw 6 meteors.
One of which was pretty bright.
This was at 5 AM BTW..

It's raining tonight so the maximum is out.
