ISS and Shuttle last night passing over

Post by Frank Ryan » Fri Nov 27, 2009 6:31 pm

I was just leaving work last night and I looked up...
there was the ISS passing...
how did I know?
Well...
once you've seen it a few times it's really unmistakeable.
What was even cooler was to see the Space Shuttle following very
close behind.
It had just undocked and was dropping back and away on its route home to earth.
They looked really majestic as they both passed under a crescent moon
and the brilliant jupiter.....
I think sometimes we take this kind of 'sighiting' for granted.
This is stuff that we will be happy to recount to our grandkids when the
day (if ever!) comes!
:)

Nice one !
Once you've seen the ISS and other sats, its easy to pick out the ISS afterwards again, its great to watch the shuttle/iss chase each other across the sky.
