well guys, it worked out better that it got postponed til August,
Michael Johnson gave us a great talk on how he captured the transit of Venus from northern Norway.

The 2012 quiz winning team of Dave Lillis, Conn Buckley, Jerry Garvey and JP Reynolds have been presented with their prizes of the October issue of the magazines Astronomy Now to Dave and Conn and Sky and Telescope to Jerry and JP.

Hi Simon..

I thought it was Sky at Night magazine
for Jerry & J.P?? I'm almost sure of it..
I could be wrong but I'm sure Jerry reads
the Sky at Night but I'm not too sure about J.P..

Hi Roy, I checked with all the winners just before purchase - to be sure to be sure and it was 2 Astronomy Now and 2 Sky & Telescope.
