Kielder starparty on SAN.

Post by Frank Ryan » Tue Mar 06, 2012 12:58 pm

Did anybody see the report SAN did of the Kielder Starparty?
OMG. It A made them look like total fools an B Snobs.
It rained for the weekend. It looked miserable and there was only a handfull of people at it. My god. The light pollution wasn't totally nonexistant either
as they kept saying. Funny to watch but it would put you off going to a starparty if you'd never been to one before.

well, ok, first off it took me 5 mins to figure out what SAN meant hahaha
so they fracked up the starparty ?
snobs, why?, did the mag elaborate how that was so, give me the juicy details. !
I guess tempers were frayed given the weather.
Atleast in the Burren, we can tour the area and enjoy the place if it pisses rain for the weekend.
I've been camping in miserable weather before and there is nothing worse, thats is always the gauntlet you run with a genuine starparty.

It was the TV show. The whole crew went.
Neither Pete, Paul or the other presenter knew how to
put a tent up and were moanng about it being degrading.
Pete was the bestvout of them mind.
It looked Miserable. It was a small treelined field full of mud.
Piddling down. I always thought it was this big event.
It was like looking at the bSP!
In fact, if they ever came over it would make the place look awesome.
Well, it is awesome I guess.
Either way, it just really confirmed for me just how good we have
it and ya the weather isn't great but it's only up the road
and it's ours.
I don't think SAN will be covering any more starparties again soon.
