taking a step back

Post by Dave Lillis » Mon May 27, 2013 11:24 am

Hi All,
Since things are settled and I've a baby on the way in 4-5 weeks, I need more time to get on with what I need to do,
I'll be taking a step back in the club in general, so dont be too surprised if you dont see me at meetings.

Dave, I'm sorry to read that you have resigned from the club. Your commitment, dedication and contribution to the club over many years is immense. Your resignation leaves a void that may well be impossible to fill.

May I wish you and Joanne the very best and that all goes well with the major event in July.

Simon

Found myself in the same position when we had our first baby so it's not surprising at all.
Best of luck to ye both!
:)

Funnily enough,
Although I was co-opted back in recently,
It's apparent that commitment to the committee is a sizeable time sink.

Unfortunately, I will not have the time to stay on either.
(Sorry to hijack your post Dave but it makes sense for it to become a "two for")

Thru work I will be on a college course and it looks like
it'll be very intensive so coupled with that, long work hours & family commitments
there is no point in me being on the committee as I will not be able to give it my full attention or any time.

From attending the last monthly committee meeting I've no doubt the club is in a strong position going forward.

Best of luck again Dave on the impending new arrival!
