Post by Conn Buckley » Mon Sep 24, 2007 10:28 am

As a result of a a PRO mail to East Limerick Community Radio station the following was the response -- it speaks for itself.

Dear Conn,

I do indeed remember Dave and Frank and Dave and the very interesting programme we put on air with them. Both my father and I found them extremely friendly, informitive and interesting and the show was perhaps the most efficient show we put on air this summer.

The radio station has come to the end of its ‘provisional’ liscencing period for the summer and the wheels are in motion for the granting of a full liscence to East Limerick Community Radio. I will, however, pass on your information to the many listeners that gave me very good feedback from the interview with Frank and Dave and pass the circular around at the next committee meeting of ELCR.

Please keep me informed of such future activities of the S.A.C. and I shall most definitely have you featured once again when, hopefully, ELCR will be back on the air in the near future.

Many thanks,

Sean Moloney (programme assistant)

Subject: Press release --Whirlpool Star party -- Shannonside Astronomy Club

Dear John, You might remember us from a recent interview on astronomy with our Dave Lillis and Frank Ryan. Give me a call sometime if you would like to another slot , we would be glad to oblige.
Attached is a press release announcing our 22nd annual Whirlpool Star Party which is organised by the Mid-West based Shannonside Astronomy Club. This is a weekend event where amateurs can meet and rub shoulders with professional astronomers in Birr, the location of Birr Castle Demesne which is steeped in astronomy history.

We would very much appreciate if you could give this a mention.

With thanks and best regards, Conn Buckley, PRO, Shannonside Astronomy Club, 061 301493

I had a guy from ELR call into PJ Matthews looking for sponsorship.
I mentioned the spot Dave & I did and he was interested in
doing it again,...
Simon...
Have you a contact for them?

I'll keep ye posted on that one.

Frank,
Conn (I think) has the details for ELR, as for spin FM then we must pursue it, I think we should hit all the local stations, we have a list of Qs from the last time so it would be quite easy to do.

Sean Moloney is the guy --his email address is in the first post in this thread. I read last weekend that ELR is back on the air. Good luck with it.
