Hey Guy's and Gal's

If any1 is using thier scope on the next clear night we get(IF THAT EVER HAPPENS). Would they mind if I tagged along as it will be the 1st time I've used my Scope and would like a little advice if I start doing things wrong.

Well accuweather is showing it clear for Friday night.
(our observing night - if clear)
Your more than welcome along to the session if it looks worth it.
If you PM Gordon your mobile number he can add you to the club text alert list.

Gordon. How about sending out an advisory notice to the club
about our intentions to go observing Friday if clear.
People often commented about the lack of notice. At least this way they can prepare
rather than last min.
We can send out a "scrub/go for launch"
text as we get a better idea what the weather is going to be like.

Lads,
where are you getting this clear sky on friday from. forecasts ive seen arent showing that.
As for notifications, everyone knows that on a friday or saturday night be on standby to go if the sky is clear. they dont need us to tell them the forecast.

Accuweather is giving a partly cloudy to clear sky Friday evening to 2am Saturday morning, and from what I know of them from getting golf forecasts they're usually on the ball.

Cheers

Dave,
Why not send it? What does it matter?
It's only just a reminder for people.
If it's clear we can go.

Boher.
We only ever go To the Burren if it's
100% gonna be clear.
It's 50/50 at this stage for tomorrow night.

I'll set a text to go out in the morning, saying there is an observing session (weather dependent).

Tonight was a really tough call.
Although clearish it's gonna be showery and
Above all, windy.
Especially up on the exposed hill in Boher.
Believe me, it's tough to call it but
It'd be worse to go up there and be blown out of it with wobbly images and dodging showers.
Next time!
