Partial solar eclipse Jan 4 2011

Nice report in today's Irish Times (page 3). Well done Dave on getting your 'Limerick Report' mentioned including 'your elevated observing location' and it was great to see Seanie Morris of MAC and Galway Astronomy Club having their reports included also. Just wondering who the reporter Cian Nihil is and how he got all the countrywide reports. He did have a report from A.I. also but this is a first from other clubs as far as I know. Let's hope for more of this.

Yip. Its great not to see AI all over the place.
That reporter rang me, he did a google search
of astronomy clubs in ireland and got my number from the site.
As all I saw was clouds I gave him Daves number as Id been talking to him that morning
and he said hed seen a glimpse of it.
Same thing for Colm Murry on morning Ireland.
He got my number off the website and
as I could not go on air Dave stepped up.
Great exposure for astronomy indeed.
We need to get a club plug in next time though!!!
Lol

well guys,
i have to say i was shattered when i got the call as i had a very late night, i had a migrane and was wrecked so wasnt 100%, as for mentioning the club, I was just happy to get through it at all.
I reckon if i had a normal nights sleep with a major hangover, i would have been far better off
