Doh !!!!!!
Actually it was one of the clearest nights I have seen in ardnacusha for quite a while
Thats a beautiful site Frank. Why don't we try there next time. Is it reasonably secure?

The sky from that site is very nice, in some ways its better then the Dolman site, the only thing is that there is some street lights to the south east, causes a small glow, its hard to judge really as we didnt see it on a perfectly clear night.

Why is it that whenever we get glow at a site its always to the south :?

It was perfectly clear for an hour & a half before ye came out.
I took the photos there just before you called me.
The sky glow to the se is not that bad.
Wont effect visual work too much.
Forget it for long exposure astrophotography.
The orange is photoshopped out.
I still think the dolmen site is better.
Bear in mind that The Daverons will turn off the
Light if I ring them to.
We just need to figure out does the lake
Make for steady atmosphere.
Shame its not the reverse. The northern aspect is great.
I must look and see are there any roads to the nirth of the lake that look south. Indeed, even anywhere else up there.
There has to be the perfect site out there.
Just have to find it!
