Hi all,
Just a quick note to let ye know what some of us are up to lately...
As ye know the ISS is passing over Ireland again this week.
I had some succes photographing it through my 5'' ETX a while back:

But Dave gave me a shout the other evening to see if we could try the same thing but through his 20'' Obsession!
Crazy as it sounds, We'd done this kind of thing before with Saturn and the
results were very encouraging.

Alas,
We had no luck for the past 2 evenings due to bad weather &
equipment issues.
Hopefully we'll get a chance again soon.
If we only managed to get one frame I'd say the image would be awesome!
Here's to good weather and less equipment gremlins.

Re: ISS photo attempt
Frank,
The setting you show aren't so different from what we were using.
although having a slightly mis-aligned telrad didnt help .
One image, 1 image, that's all I wanted, ah well, next time I suppose.

Equipment issues??, whoever said manually pointing a half meter wide eight and a half foot long telescope with a 10 arc minute field of view at a target going 10 miles a second was easy.Frank Ryan wrote: We had no luck for the past 2 evenings due to bad weather &

Carrying around my 20" obsession is going to kill me, but what a way to go.
