Hey Guy's.
How cool was last night, I've never seen a sky that dark. The Burren really kicks ass. The Milkyway looked like some1 just rubbed out a chalk line on a blackboard, it was so vivid. But I have to say we got very lucky with a sky like that, I think KARMA said it owes me 1.(YOU GOTTA LOVE KARMA). Heres to many more nights like that.
Cheers Roy

I guess you now will think differently about
the sky you have there in Meelick.
You really need to get away from lights
to see the faint stuff.
Planets / moon grand but a dark (truly dark)
sky is a must.
In fact we are spoiled with the Burren on our doorstep.
It's 40 min drive away.
Nothing in terms if what Dublin guys / uk / or us guys drive to get to similar conditions.
Even Boher is very good by normal standards.

well if the darkest place on the planet was a 10, the Burren would be a 9, Boher a 6 and anywhere near the city a 1.
We are blessed that all we need to is drive 40 mins and we're gauranteed a dark sky, many astronomers across europe would kill for that!
