who's up for observing the lunar eclipse?
Monday night Tuesday morning.
I was thinking the Burren but costal areas
May get snow again.
it's inches thick down there at the moment
and the roads are in places impassable.
from the met eireann site today:
DETAILS: Monday night will be extremely cold with lowest temperatures between -5 and -10, possibly even lower over snow fields. There will be a few snow showers, mainly in coastal areas, and winds will be light. Freezing fog will form in some areas as well.

The text has been sent, observing at the Burren carpark for the lunar eclipse.
We're meeting at 4.15 am sharp!!! at Ivans carpark on the ennis road in Limerick, text me on 0876137293 if youre coming as were not waiting long for people who arent coming.
Needless to say bring alot of clothes, warm drink and we're going to be driving slow as the roads are lethal.

Thanks for the texts. I am sorry that I cannot join you but I have to drive to Dublin early in the morning. It will be my luck if Dublin Airport does not open and my visitors cannot travel. I have just arrived home (10:45pm) and the fog is sufficient to have quite a dimming effect on the Moon but I hope that Boher is high enough to be above the fog level. The temperature now is -8. I wish you all a successful observing session and look forward to seeing the images.
