well they came back to me about the shipping and its 169e shipping,
They knocked off 14.38 cos i asked not to ship the counterweights, we can get those here.
So that would be a grand total of 561euros for this mount, delivered, + I guess 20 euros for weights from a sports shop.
making 580e for the mount, god its bloody expensive!!
and thats presuming we can dodge customs ...
So, anyone find plans on the web to build one of these things ???

That fork wont work lads, if you think of where your head has to be when looking near the zenith, you'll see he problem, same as the tripod we
already have.
I was even comtemplating mounting them on my LX200 fork, but again, the mount gets in the way when looking anyway up high.
When you look at the unimount closely, you'll see that there was a fair bit of thought put into its design.
I think the guy at the BSP who had one was Keith on the IFAS boards, he is the one that pointed me in the direction of telescope services for one, they told me it cant handle our binoculars weight
So back to making one using plans.... unless we want to fork out over half a grand??, we can afford it!, I supose the question I'm asking is do we want to afford it ??? I think I already know the answer.
I'm loath to he idea of making one unless we have very definite plans, we could end with an awefully heavy pile of shite.

Thats great Frank, it looks very good, does he do the tripod aswell ?
Hopefully he will have a reasonable price, if so we'll go for it immediately.

The tripod originally with the binos and the ones you gave me Roy are not really up to the job, what price is he quoting for the tripod ?
As for my furniture parts, he is in san diego, fine if the shop is on the west coast.
Roy would your friend in the US be able to do it ?
Are there custums duty for gear entering the us from canada ??
Frank, would he be willing to mark it down as a gift or leave out a digit on the customs price ??
340 C$ is 252e
