well, what can you say, life is always full of surprises.
Satellite images were looking good, We went up to the Burren site, clear but very gusty, no way was I staying up there.
so we decided to go the the lake by Corrofin, man what a good decision that turned out to be, zero wind!
4 showed up, me, Roy, Daz and Gordon. It was a good night we finished up a 1am when light cloud came in.
We got in the usual suspects.
m13, 3, 92, 42,48,35,36,37,38,104,51,52,108,109,97,66,65, castseye nebula. ring nebula, blinking planetary, e.t. cluster, and saturn was super aswell. the seeing is quite good.
The sky was bright with mild high altitude haze, always a problem with a prolonged spell of high pressure so the dso's were not eyepopping.
sorry to hear about that John, I would have expected you to have alot of clear skies.
dont know about tonight ?!?

not really as the sky was brightish anyway from the slight haze.
If we had a jet black sky, then it would have been a problem, we need to find more sites in the burren area.

well, im off this Friday if you want to do a recon, we need a more sheltered location, the lake is ok but the south has the town lights, minor as they are, the area has so much more to offer.
