We tried tountinna, then it looked like it might clear near ennis, went there and it was also a bust, went to hurlers cross near shannon giving us a view to the north east, clouds blocked the view.

think about it, we went to Barcelona for a lunar eclipse, this is way more up the scale and we didnt travel, a costly lesson.
one I'm not going to repeat for the sake of a cheapo ryanair flight.

Sorry about the weather lads. It's was pretty crap here too. Got to see the transit through a few short breaks in the clouds. We ran an event at work. Most people who were prepared to wait for ten minutes or so got a brief glimpse.
Hopefully catch up with you first week in September. I' m over for a short visit.
