Transits of Mercury:

Mercury is the nearest planet to the Sun. Every few years or so it happens to cross infront of the Suns disk.
Here is a list of the up coming transits, times are in UT.
(There is no point mentioning transits of Venus as the next one is in the year 2117)

Keys for table

1st contact: Transit begins, when the planets disk start to enter onto the Suns disk
2nd contact: The time when when the entire disk of the planet is visible on the Sun
MAX: time of the greatest point of the transit, the nearest the planet gets to the center of the Suns disk
3rd contact: The time when the planet reaches the opposite limb of the Sun
4th contact: The time when the planet fully leaves the Sun, the end of the transit.
Min Sep: Is the distance between the planet and the center of the Suns disk (at MAX time), in arc seconds.

Other terms

Ingress: Time between 1st and 2nd contacts
Egress:  Time between 3rd and 4th contacts
