19th November 2005 Club visit to Bruff National Primary School The national school in Bruff invited the club to do a night sky viewing with the children of the school. Dave, Tony, Simon and Conn atteneded and also gave a good presentation in the schools gym. We had 2 hours of clear skies and showed the kids and parents views of the planets and the brighter open clusters. It was great fun watching the kids see the skiy properly for the first time trough the scopes, there were plenty of WOW's to be heard.

7th-8th-9th October 2005 Whirlpool Starparty 2005 This years starparty was run in october, this worked well ensuring us a Moon free sky that weekend. The opening talks were opened by Lord Ross on Saturday morning.
On Saturday afternoon, time was alotted for people to have a tour of the Birr Castle Demense and take in the views of the great leviathan telescope, it's gounds and the views of the castle. Below are pictures of the grounds including the SAC crew attending the starparty.
A tour of the castle museum was then undertaken.
